I graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law in May of 1990 and was admitted to the practice In September 1990. I have a varied legal background which gives me a unique perspective in many areas of my practice. I began my career as a Deputy County attorney. I also practiced as a Human Resources attorney for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. I joined the firm on May 1, 2001.
My primary areas of practice include defense of professional licenses, including nursing licenses, medical licenses, all other professional/healthcare licenses, and daycare licensing issues. I also have a large divorce, family law, custody and juvenile law practice. I have extensive trial experience, including general litigation. I have argued a variety of cases before the Nebraska Court of Appeals and the Nebraska Supreme Court. I truly enjoy meeting new clients and helping them through what can be a very emotional and trying time. My goal is to guide and zealously represent each client to achieve the best possible result.
I am the past president of the Lincoln Bar Association and I have served on various committees. I am also a member of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, Through the Eyes of the Child Initiative and the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association.
I grew up on a farm near Odell, Nebraska. Growing up on a farm and working alongside my dad in the field taught me the benefit of persistence and hard work. Those are the principles I apply to each client’s case.
Outside of the office I enjoy the Kansas City Royals and the Chiefs. I am considered the office movie critic because I love going to movies.
